Barbara Elaine Veilleux Marino age 90, passed away December 3, 2024, at The Cove at Tavares Village, Tavares, Florida. She was born on April 21, 1934, in Ashland, Maine the daughter of Charles L. and Fredena A. (Howes) Adams. Her family moved to Fairfield, Maine and later bought a farmhouse on Middle Rd.

She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1952 and loved attending class reunions. She married Nelson H. Veilleux on July 11, 1953, and lived in Waterville, Fairfield and Sidney, Maine. In 1970, she and Nelson moved their five children to Florida where they lived in Eustis and Tavares. She raised their five children, helped Nelson with accounting for his auto repair shop, and had various jobs over the years where she loved talking to people. If you spoke to her long enough, she would determine how you were related to her. Upon Nelson’s retirement, they moved to Keaton Beach, near Perry, Florida and lived there until his death in 2001. In 2002, she moved to Mt. Dora, Florida.

In 2004, she married Edwin Marino. They were active in the Dora Pines Community and traveled each summer to visit their families and friends in Long Island, New York and Maine.

Barbara loved reading, singing, dancing, letter-writing and traveling, and spent many wonderful summers in Maine visiting historic sites, especially lighthouses. She never forgot a birthday or special event. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Fredena Adams, husband Nelson Veilleux, son Bradley Veilleux and daughter Cheryl Bryant, brothers Richard, Carroll, and Robert Adams, sister Beverly Adams and her second husband Edwin Marino.

She is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Elaine) Veilleux, Gregory (Julie) Veilleux and daughter Susan (Richard) Reed; grandsons Eric (Mandy) Veilleux, Nicholas Veilleux, Jeffrey (Lauren) Hardig, Charles (Hollie) Reed, Jeremy (Jamie) Veilleux, Brandon (Vickey) Hardig, Stephen Veilleux, Adam (Ashley) Bryant and Connor Veilleux; granddaughters Aimee (Jason) Booth, Shannon (Ben) Treen, Amanda (Jay) Davis, Lisa Veilleux and Ashley (Derek) Borders; great-grandchildren Kimberly, Reilly, Ritchie, Andrew, Emma, Paige, Aden, Spencer, Cooper, Kaelyn, Autumn, Lucy, Addelyn, Shawn, Elijah, Emeline, John, Thomas and Emma; son-in-law William Bryant and daughter-in-law Pamela Veilleux. She is also survived by her sister Alberta Goodhue, brother Dale Adams, brother-in-law Martin Goodhue, sisters-in-law Juanita Veilleux and Pauline Adams and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
