An officer responded to the LifeStreams AIMS building, located at 404 Webster St., regarding a disturbance call for service around 10:32 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The complainant, an employee of the behavioral center, stated 25-year-old Christian Andre Godfrey-Brewton was causing a disturbance and threatening to hit staff members.

Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who further advised that Godfrey-Brewton was admitted on a volunteer status. They had just discharged him, they wished for him to be trespassed from the medical center, the report said.

The officer then approached Godfrey-Brewton who was lying on a bed in his room listening to music on his phone. He was told he was discharged from the facility and neded to gather his belongings to leave. He remained quiet, the report said.

When it was explained to Godfrey-Brewton that he was also being trespassed from the facility, he stated he did not care, the report said. He was then told that he was hereby trespassed, and if he refused to leave, he would be arrested. He stated, “I refuse to leave.”

Godfrey-Brewton was arrested on charge of trespass after warning as a result. The Michigan native was transported to Lake County Jail and released on his own recognizance. He is responsible for appearing in court on Feb. 5.
