Joyce Ann Hutto, age 87, of Fruitland Park, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 4, 1937, in Bevilles Corner to Cephus and Lucy Maddox, Joyce lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering faith.

Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who dedicated her life to caring for her family and serving the Lord through her church. Growing up in Bevilles Corner, she graduated from Bushnell High School and became known for her compassion, kindness, generosity, and tireless service to others. Her sense of humor and love for cooking, especially her famous chicken and dumplings, brought joy to all who knew her.

A cherished member of Leesburg Missionary Baptist Church, Joyce touched the lives of everyone she met with her warm heart and gentle spirit.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, David, and her two daughters, Julie Hughes (Bill) of Greensboro, NC and Rhonda Williams (Tim) of Oxford, Fl. Joyce’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jason (Jamie) of Raleigh, NC, Matt (Christi) of Durham, NC, Kylie (Michael) of Virginia Beach, VA, Carey (Jonah) of Oxford, FL, and Cassidy of Belleview, FL, as well as her eight great-grandchildren, Jacob, Connor, Alysa, Gavin, Brynn, Grey, Jedi, and Titan.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10 am followed by the service. Interment will be at Center Hill Cemetery, Center Hill Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Leesburg Missionary Baptist Church in her memory.

Joyce Ann Hutto will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
