John J. O’Connor of Leesburg, Florida passed away on December 14, 2023 at the age of 69. He wsa born on January 13, 1954 in Union City, NJ.
John grew up in Leonardo, NJ and he graduated from Middletown North High School in Middletown, NJ in 1972.
He worked as a CSR Sterilization tech at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT, as a Tech/Coordinator at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank NJ, was a Manager /Supervisor at Meridian Health, a Line Dance Instructor for County Pleasure Line Dancers of Vermont, and was a Line Dance Instructor at Club Paradise, Asbury Park, NJ
He was actively involved in and loved going to the Unity Spiritual Center every Sunday in Fruitland Park, Florida. It brought him Peace and he met the nicest group of Friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Cahill O’Connor and his father Patrick A O’Connor Of Ireland; his Step Mother Helen O’Connor; his brothers James A O’Connor, Christopher O’Connor and Patrick A O’Connor, Drew Darby and Steven Darby of New Jersey.
He is survived by his brother Con O’Connor and his wife Sue Harding O’Connor of Leonardo, NJ, his sister Annie Nancy O’Connor Craig and her husband Keith Criag of West Addison, Vermont, His sister Mary Ellen O’Connor Briody of Sebastian, Florida, Claudia Darby of Kentucky, Cathy Darby of Florida and Carol Darby Durso of New Jersey , his sister in-laws Jeanne O’Connor and Diane O’Connor of New Jersey and Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins here in America, Ireland, England & Scotland. His Niece and Nephew Danielle and her son Spencer who adored his Uncle John, His Best Friend and Brother Michael Resignato of Las Vegas, and Jody Barna of Florida.
He grew up in Leonardo at the Jersey Shore with his Father and Siblings and many cousins, Aunts & Uncles. He was retired and Living in Leesburg Florida
John will be deeply Loved and Missed by Family, Friends and all whose lives he has touched with his Irish Smile, His Irish Shenanigans, daily fun FB Posts and Morning messages and pics, his Funny character and his Kind Loving Heart. He was talking of moving back to Vermont to be near his sister Annie Nancy, Keith, family Friends, and now he will.
