A motorcycle fatality shut down a portion of U.S. Hwy. 27 in Lake County.
The crash occurred at 5:10 p.m. Friday at U.S. Hwy. 27 and Schofield Road in Clermont. A motorcycle and vehicle were involved in the crash, according to preliminary information from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
All northbound lanes and one southbound lane of U.S. Hwy. 27 at Schofield Road were blocked for the investigation.
