An 84-year-old Leesburg motorcyclist has died as the result of a crash.
He had been riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle at 2:09 p.m. on Labor Day traveling eastbound on El Presidente Boulevard approaching U.S. Hwy. 27 when he failed to stop for a stop sign while making a left turn and turned into the direct path of a 2015 Toyota Corolla, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist was transported to South Lake Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Corolla was driven by 31-year-old Stone Mountain, Ga. woman who was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
