Catherine Vaccarino, age 95, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
Catherine was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Manhattan and moved to Brooklyn after marrying. She was generous and always wanted to help people. Everyone she met loved her and thought she was special. She moved from Brooklyn, NY to Florida in 2016 at the age of 90 and loved living in the Sunshine State. She made lasting friendships at the senior clubs and bingo games she attended here. She left a lasting impression, always dressed beautifully with her makeup and jewelry and will be greatly missed.
She is now in heaven with her husband Harry of 55 years before his passing in 2004 and her youngest child, Sal, who passed away in 2017.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Josephine Harvey of Howey In The Hills, FL and Esther Zibrosky of The Villages, FL; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be held at The Catholic Community of St. Paul, 1330 Sunshine Ave., Leesburg, FL 34748 on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please donte to St. Jude Children’s Hospital where Catherine was a Partner in Hope.
