Daisy McCoy Hoffman was called to God’s heaven on November 4, 2022. Daisy McCoy was born on June 29, 1942, in Belzoni, Mississippi, daughter of Thomas Forrest McCoy and Daisy Marie Arant McCoy.

Daisy McCoy graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1960. She then attended Jones County Junior College one year. She was working as a bookkeeper at Mississippi Chemical Corporation in Yazoo City at the time she married Wallace Hoffman, August 18, 1963.

They moved with his PCS (permanent change of station) to Texas in 1965, to Ohio in 1973, and to Mississippi in 1975. His last assignment was flying C-130s with the Hurricane Hunters at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, Mississippi.

Daisy gave her entire time to their three children and the home during their early years. Then she commuted from Biloxi to the University of Southern Mississippi and graduated with a degree in elementary education. She then taught fifth grade six years before retiring for health reasons.

Daisy and Wallace moved to Florida in 2005 to take care of twin grandsons. They became members of Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Leesburg.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wallace Hoffman. Their three children – Christie Hoffman Ruppel, Forrest Hoffman, and Earl Hoffman – also survive. Her six grandchildren are Karin Hoffman Corley, Nathaniel Ruppel, Emily Ruppel, Jonathan Ruppel, and the twins, Max and Zach Hoffman.
