John Patrick Betts

John Patrick Betts

We bid farewell to John Patrick Betts, 62, who found peace on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

John leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by his parents, Anne and Donald Sr., his sister Vicki Biermann, and his brothers Donald Jr. and Steve. His spirit lives on in the heart of his cherished daughter, Hayley and her husband Tyler Broussard, and in the anticipation of his grandson soon to grace the world. Alongside them, he is mourned by his significant other, Arianna Beam, and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Born on August 1, 1961, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. John went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1984 before becoming a parent in 2002. His transition from serving in the U.S. Navy to becoming an industrial and commercial master electrician is quite a remarkable journey. John’s career spanned over four decades, with some of the most respected men in the electrical industry calling him an expert in his craft. The national electric code says that ‘all work shall be conducted in a neat and workmanlike manner’. John lived by this code and was respected by hundreds of colleagues in his industry for it.

A man of unparalleled strength and character, his willingness to extend a helping hand to those in need, and his indomitable spirit. His determination, bluntness, and loyalty left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

Above all, John was a remarkable father, a guiding light through life’s trials and triumphs. His stubborn nature was a testament to his strong will and determination, traits he passed on to his daughter. He was present for every milestone, always contributing his wisdom and support.

John’s absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and the ones who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he loved.
