Daniel McIntyre

Daniel Kent McIntyre, of Leesburg, Fl, passed away at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center on April 6, 2024. He was 80 years old.

Dan is survived by his wife, Louise McIntyre; children, Bryan McIntyre (Debbie) of Fenton, MI and Jennifer McIntyre of Swartz Creek, MI; stepchildren, Matthew Wirwicki (Heather) of Owosso, MI and Paula Smith of Lakeland, FL; his grandchildren, Erik McIntyre, Madeline McIntyre, Samantha McIntyre, and Joey Barnett; step-grandchildren, Jessica Brooks, Alexandra Beckemeyer, Alexandria Kelley (Devin), Brianna Green (Dillon), Dylan Good, and Dan Wirwicki; great-grandchild, Kenneth McIntyre; and step-great-grandchildren, Emma Brody and Sam Brody.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Carmen McIntyre; sister, Donna Pearce; brother, Robert McIntyre; and stepson, Mark Smith.

Dan was born on November 15, 1943 in Flint, MI to Donald and Carmen McIntyre. He was raised in Flushing, MI and graduated from Flushing High School. He was a Barber for most of his life, moving to Florida in 1981.

Throughout his life, Dan’s hobbies were motorcycling, boating, camping, and singing karaoke. He very much enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and beloved dog, Cody.
Dan passed away peacefully in the hospital with Louise and Paula at his side after suffering declining health following a stroke in November. Cremation has taken place.
