Barbara Jo Long, 80, of Leesburg, FL passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024.
She was married to Kenneth D. Long (deceased) and was a Marine Corps wife for many years before they retired, travelled the U.S. and then ultimately moved to Leesburg in October of 2010. She loved to travel and spent the last decade cruising to various international destinations.
She was a crafting enthusiast and skilled at sewing, painting, ceramics, stained glass, crochet, embroidery and more. She was also an avid card player and was active in several card clubs in the area with friends. She was a member of the Newcomers Group, Am-Vets and the Moose Lodge.
She is survived by her partner Gary Barnes and her 4 children: David Long, Kimberley Long, Diana Cox and Krista Lewis along with 8 grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 siblings: Fred, Chuck and Lynn Huston.
Family and friends will meet for a Celebration of Life at the Mid Florida Lakes Clubhouse (188 Forest Dr. Leesburg) on April 27, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
